Arts and culture- these are two words that describe the formidable city of Barcelona. It is a valuable city not only because of its high-ranking economy but also because of its influence in the arts, architecture and its contribution to history.

It is a place of artistic treasures and historic legacy. Indeed, it is a major tourist destination that stood the test of time.

Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia and by regard, the most densely populated amongst the 17 Autonomous Communities of Spain. Also being the second largest city in Spain, it is the core of Barcelona’s Urban Region.

Geographically resting on the northeastern coast of Europe’s Iberian Peninsula along the Mediterranean shores, Barcelona is situated between two rivers, the Llobregat and Besòs. This also makes it a prime Mediterranean port. Barcelona’s climate makes it an all-year ideal tourist spot, having mild and humid winters and sunny, dry summers.

What makes Barcelona different from other European destinations is its unique culture, rich traditions and remarkable personality.

Evidently, Barcelona has abundant beach spots where tourists can take advantage of clear waters and well-maintained swimming areas.

The Sant Sebastià and the Barceloneta beaches are the largest and the busiest especially during summer. Besides swimming, visitors can also go windsurfing or kite surfing for a change. Beach huts are also plenty for those who need a refreshing drink or snack.

The Icaria Beach is somewhat a first-class beach spot. Hotel accommodations in this area have quite a price as competition for space in this prime beach area is stiff.

The Mar Bella Beach is a common choice for locals because of its accessibility and it also has recreational facilities and a sports center. It also has a designated nudist area but it is regarded mainly as a family recreation area.

So immerse yourself to an experience of art and culture. Have a memorable treasure from Barcelona with you.
